Google Adsense is one of the best methods for internet publishers, bloggers and webmasters to monetize their websites but there are specific rules that need to be followed to in order to prevent your Adsense account from being terminated. For the most part, the rules are simple, logical and easy to follow, however many Adsense publishers thumb their noses at the rules and end up crying over spilled milk when their account is terminated.
whenever in doubt, it is better to err on the side of caution with Adsense as Google does not give warnings before terminating an account. In cases of long term, high volume publishers, Google will contact and possibly issue a warning but for novices, it’s best to avoid any complications that might get your account baned.
Here are the 5 most common mistakes that result in an Adsense publisher having their account terminated.
1.) Never Click on Your Own Ads - This is the single most important rule for Adsense publishers but a common mistake made by newbies that Google will not forgive. You must also make certain nobody using the same IP address in your home (ie: wife, husband, children) clicks on your ads. I’ve seen countless publishers complaining that their Adsense account was banned because their spouse or children clicked the ads thinking they were helping out.
2.) Do Not Encourage Clicks - Adsense publishers are not permitted to offer incentives or encourage visitors to click on their advertisments. A common mistake is to put a heading over the ads saying “Click on Our Sponsors” but this will get your account banned in a hurry.
3.) Do Not Place More Than 3 Ad Units on Any Page - Adsense will usually not display more three units per page but it’s better not to take any chances. I used to see a lot of sites that were 90% Adsense and 10% content but things have changed since Google started cracking down on this offense.
4.) Do Not Place Adsense on Pages With Questionable Content - Adsense is not allowed to be served on pages that contain questionable content. This includes adult content, downloads of copyright materials, hacking, cracking and drug related content.
5.) Be Careful Where Your Traffic Comes From - Adsense publishers are not permitted to place ads on pages receiving traffic from disreputable sources such as paid-to-click programs, traffic exchanges or by sending spam emails. You should always use a Website Analyzer like Google Analytics to see where your traffic is coming from.
5.) Do Not Publicly Disclose Information About Your Account - Information such as CTR, CPM and income derived from individual ad units or any other confidential information revealed to you is not permitted to be disclosed in public. I see many Adsense publishers making this mistake on public discussion forums and even on sites like Flippa.

Sometimes there’s nothing you can do to avoid getting axed by Google. Adsense is a particularly ruthless program. Don’t believe me? Try to find a support email or phone number.
I personally think it is extremely hard to make money with AdSense. When using Adsense there are two options: if you are ethical and respect their rules, you will have very low click rate and you need huge traffic in order to make decent money. If you don’t respect the rules and improve your click rate using unethical methods, you will get suspended. Both ways will result in limited or no earnings at all.
I found these all suggestions as useful for avoiding mistakes while working with adsense. Thanks for sharing info about this. Please keep continue to post more informative content.
I had an account banned but it was deserved because of click fraud activities. The good news is that you can place ads from any account on a site and start earning again.
Thanks for the interesting thoughts. I believe we should pay more attention to these things in future.
In 4 years of online marketing, I’ve never had a website banned from Google. However, that is because I follow the rules. All of the above points are great material, however, you also need to add that Google has started to ban sites with heavy keyword content (more than usual). If you’re building a website to make money, make sure that it has original content that is readable (by a human) and not a spider. If it is obvious that the content was make up by a computer and not legible, it will catch up with you.
Google requires all AdSense sites to put a cookie disclosure notice in their privacy policy. This only applies to AdSense publishers that run their own site, such as a personal website or a personal blog.
I am working for 7 sites from last 3 year. I had never face this type of problem it will happen when yo are doing some wrong activity I think.
