I personally think it is extremely hard to make money with AdSense. When using Adsense there are two options: if you are ethical and respect their rules, you will have very low click rate and you need huge traffic in order to make decent money. If you don’t respect the rules and improve your click rate using unethical methods, you will get suspended. Both ways will result in limited or no earnings at all.

I had an account banned but it was deserved because of click fraud activities. The good news is that you can place ads from any account on a site and start earning again.

In 4 years of online marketing, I’ve never had a website banned from Google. However, that is because I follow the rules. All of the above points are great material, however, you also need to add that Google has started to ban sites with heavy keyword content (more than usual). If you’re building a website to make money, make sure that it has original content that is readable (by a human) and not a spider. If it is obvious that the content was make up by a computer and not legible, it will catch up with you.

Google requires all AdSense sites to put a cookie disclosure notice in their privacy policy. This only applies to AdSense publishers that run their own site, such as a personal website or a personal blog.
