Blog Icon Are All Shoemoney Readers Really this Stupid? Trash Talk Tuesday

Posted in Trash Talk Tuesday by Dave on March 31st, 2009

Shoemoney posted this garbage on his *cough* blog today with some cheesy video that I couldn’t be bothered to watch.

blockquote Rumors are true. My family and I will be moving to Portland at the beginning of May. My parent company, ShoeMoney Capital, INC. has been aquired by the Hanso Foundation. I feel I express myself better in video then in writing so I made a quick video about what all is going on:

Maybe there’s something in the video I missed but watching a Shoemoney video is less compelling than watching my dog take a crap. It’s no surprise that over 10 “sheeple” have already commented on the post asking Shoemoney how much he sold his company for, congratulating him, etc. Not a one of them bothered to check for this…

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanso_Foundation

blockquote The Hanso Foundation is a fictional foundation in the Lost television series. It was formed by arms purveyor Alvar Hanso, who turned his attention from “keeping the world safe through the development of sophisticated weapons systems” to focus instead on the development of new technologies to “create a brighter future for all humanity.” Nearly all information about the Foundation is drawn from its Web site, thehansofoundation.org, with further background revealed as part of the alternate reality game, the Lost Experience.

Are the people commenting on Shoemoney’s blog really so stupid that they take everything that Shoemoney says as gospel? Honestly some of the comments I’ve seen there make DigitalPoint look like a Mensa international gathering. It’s almost scary how the people reading his blog react immediately to anything he spews out regardless whether of it’s true or not.

Not to mention Shoemoney can’t even spell “acquired” correctly.

Please note: This article is a part of a new series on this blog called “Trash Talk Tuesday” where every Tuesday, this blog will trash some stupid a$$ crap, expose hipocrisy, confront liars and b!tch-slap spammers and other vile people who make the internet a nasty place.

Uh, do you mean to spell it “hypocrisy”? Dumbass.

  2. Mikki on March 31st, 2009

Hi Dave - I Love the trash talking idea. It could be fun. On the Shoemoney blog now 22 people have commented and nobody has got it yet !!!

  3. Anthony Kirlew on March 31st, 2009

I was surprised that no one else seemed to get it.

  4. Dave on March 31st, 2009

@Shoemoney (aka You Are Dumber) - I guess only a card carrying hypocrite would find that spelling error. Either that or a total d-bag who can’t spell acquired correctly because the only acquisition he’s ever been involved in was selling some two-bit crap-o-rama called AuctionAds.

Just gotta love the pseudo-anonymous commentors who want to talk trash on Tuesday but are too scared own up to their words. Punk.

  5. You Are Dumber on March 31st, 2009

“regardless of it’s true or not.”
regardless of WHETHER it’s true or not.

I’m not ShoeMoney. Shoemoney’s a moron too, but the point is that you aren’t any better and shouldn’t mock him, especially when it comes to grammar. You’re throwing bricks from a glass house.

  6. Mikki on March 31st, 2009

You say the author should not throw stones but you post in a fake name and call Shoemoney a moron? You are the real dumb one if you ask me.

  7. FAILURE on March 31st, 2009

    SHOEMONEY = FAIL

  8. zombiosis on March 31st, 2009

Maybe Shoemoney is doing a test to see who is commenting on his blog to get backlinks? He is a real smart guy and knows how to do these things.

  9. teejay on March 31st, 2009

aaaaah..auctionads…i still have never got paid what i was owed from them running thousands of ads each day and getting nothing from it. shoemoney threw us all under the bus on that one.

  10. Who is Stuppid? on March 31st, 2009

nice linkbait but I think the dumb person commenting it is Shoemoney’s sister Andrea (from PlanetAndrea.com) because she defended him at WF forum until she got smacked around & left crying. I think he paid her off to fight for his rep.

  11. Dave on March 31st, 2009

@You Are Dumber - How much do you charge for your proof reading services? Great thing about Wordpress is at least you can go back and fix any typos or mistakes.

  12. Annea on March 31st, 2009

30 comments so far and nobody has figured it out. One peabrain even said

The new blog design looks great on the iPhone browser… but Hanso?! Why can’t I find out who you are or what you do without a flash capable browser? Grr.

hahahah. the site shoe posted a link to was in flash and the poor loser doesn’t know how to Google on his precious iPhone. A sad yet classic case of technology making you stupider.

  13. Polish Wonder on March 31st, 2009

Anna, reading Shomoney’s blog will make you stupider and poorer. Side effects include nausea, migraines, uncontrolled vomiting, loss of appetite and rectal bleeding. In some cases it’s been known to cause acne and genital warts. That’s a fact.

  14. Who is Stuppid? on March 31st, 2009

Polish Wonder makes it sound like Shoemoney is the ‘typhoid mary’ of blogging.

  15. You Are Dumber on March 31st, 2009

Fine. You are still dumb. Shoemoney’s obviously not approving comments that spoil the joke. Is it that confusing?

And if you’re so upset about anonymity, just check out my blog at ****WickedFire dickroll removed****

You’re all probably too dumb to even understand it.

  16. Marina Martin on March 31st, 2009

I left a comment calling him “Juliet” but it mysteriously never appeared. Must have been posted in the 1970s.

I was rather amazed at the number of people who did not get the joke, particularly given that it’s April Fool’s time.

    Shoe money isn’t very good!

  19. jasmine on April 1st, 2009

People like “you are dumber”, are really trying to attract attention. They are scolding themselves through their own nick.If you would like to scold people dumb please don’t put the “er” at the end as It goes to show that you are dumb as well.

  20. Polish Wonder on April 2nd, 2009

Nah,,, Shoemoney isn’t the ‘typhoid mary’ of blogging he’s just some clown trying to make a living by telling other people how to make money. His game’s a spin off the infomercial thing like an internet Don Lapre/

  21. g-splash on April 2nd, 2009

You make a good point on his readers being dumb sheep. tthat makes them easy to sell to. baaaaahhh .. come sheep i will teach how to drink .Some of them even blogged about the takeover !!! A lot of posts got deleted once they figured out it was a prank. hahaa shoemoney treats his readers like a crazy cling girlfriend who loves you the more you treat her badly. And they come back for more.

  22. jordan on April 2nd, 2009

Was his post not on the eve of April 1st?

After all he did say he was going to be getting to Hanso in a submarine…

I don’t read his blog but follow him on Twitter, and know that he is a huge ‘Lost’ fan.

  23. Dave on April 3rd, 2009

Jordan, actually this post was criticizing the “sheeple” who jumped to comment on Shoemoney’s post before even thinking about it for a second. On some blogs (ie: TechCrunch), people try really hard to be the first to comment because it’s been told you can get a lot of traffic to your url that way.

btw, as I stated in the article, I didn’t watch the video. I’ve never even seen an episode of Lost so I didn’t get the association immediately. I searched for Hanso Foundation and figured it out because I never believe anything I read on Shoemoney anyway.

  24. elurl on April 4th, 2009

Hmm, what Shoemoney says looked fine to me?

  25. Jennifer Trent on April 7th, 2009

we all trying to make online, and shoemoney is no different. It’s easier to throw stones, especially with crowd’s cheers. Shoemoney was an enterprise, it’s sold -good-fine-done. Now it’s time to move ON!!!

  26. MOTOTRBO DIGITAL on April 7th, 2009

People like “you are dumber”, are really trying to attract attention. They are scolding themselves through their own nick.

  27. Chris "Money" Mansfield on April 8th, 2009

I stopped reading Shoemoney a while back. I think most of his readership are his friends and affiliate newbies.

  29. g-splash on April 13th, 2009

    Shoemoney is fool’s gold.

  30. SELaplana on April 14th, 2009

You see, not all who commented on a blog really understand what a blogpost has been saying in between lines.

For example: last April 1, 2009 I posted an article in blog telling everyone that I bought a Toyota Fortuner out of my blogging income. Since that post was intended for the April fool’s day, I added the line on the end part of the article, “Happy April Fool’s Day”. And lots of my readers did not get what I mean when I greet them “Happy April Fool’s Day”. They immediately think that what I wrote on that article are true not joke.

By the way, I posted earlier which contain the message above but it seems that it was caught by something and it didnot show up. anyway, this is all what I can share.

  31. Gume on April 26th, 2009

My experience from my blog is that more that 50% falls for the April Fools tricks :)

  32. Brandon Sheley on April 28th, 2009

I’ve never been a fan of shoemoney’s blog
I’m sure there is some good stuff, but blogs like his and john chow, just turn me off.

  33. TriNi on May 6th, 2009

This just might be the most entertaining post, and set of comments I’ve ever read lol.

Who knew making money online could be this fun! I love it.. haha.

  34. Tyrkiet Experten on May 20th, 2009

I think Shoemoney is a great marketer - for himself…

  35. Andy Brinkworth on May 23rd, 2009

I’m working with a guy right now who has spent $10,000 on these marketing and affiliate programs and he constantly looks like he’s about to cry. He believed every lie these people told him about being a millionaire in 6 months. The bottomline is he couldn’t understand a thing he bought, so he almost paid the extra $2000 a month to have them explain their work to him.
    These people suck!

  36. Wheels on June 2nd, 2009

Andy is right on about how gurus like Shoemoney sell newbies any and everything under the sun trying to tell them they will get rich quick. My advice is if you see a blogger bragging about how much money he/she makes and if they show pictures of photoshopped checks, expensive cars, etc… run away as fast as you can. These guys are getting rich off hoodwinking suckers.

  37. David Jenkins on July 26th, 2009

Andy and Wheels have some interesting points. I don’t think gurus like Shoemoney will ever stop making money. These sites are targeted towards those average Americans. The same people who work those nine to five jobs. Its easy for us to spot the scam but, was very difficult for me too in the beginning. I can’t even remember how many times I bought a product of a affiliate review site. They look so legitimate back in 05-06. Plus if Shoemoney is making money then he is doing something right. Would you rather be ethical or rich, lol?

  38. Web Milionário on August 2nd, 2009

That was funny, but forget about the spelling stuff, only idiots do that.
