The message came across my Twitter a few minutes ago from Convert2Media that they would be cutting referral commissions down to 2% and there was more information avaiable at the official Convert2Media blog.
Ruck says…

In the specific case of Convert2Media while it may not sit well with you now, after the changes that are made in the near future we know it will make 99% of the publisher base happy. Knowing you cannot satisfy everyone in this business calls for a set of balls some dont seem to have when making decisions. The ramifications of bad press from people who do not work with Convert2Media is meaningless. I’ve never been one to give a shit what others thought. If I did, I probably would have never came online in the first place. |
See the full post here. As usual, there’s several tidbits of information in Ruck’s lengthy post that all affiliate marketers should be aware particularly issues regarding affiliate networks and referring other marketers as a source of residual earnings. Even though the latter is one of my staples, the reduction to 2% doesn’t bother me in the least bit considering half of the programs I’ve referred people into pay squat for the efforts.
I’ve only recently joined Convert2Media and haven’t run any significant campaigns through them but I like what I see already and it’s not just because they’re an hour away from me in Central Florida.
If you haven’t joined Convert2Media and checked out what they have to offer :

You rock. Rick
Its bad news about the referral cut, 2% seems pretty lame.
Have you heard the news about C2M getting heavy on the US Grant offers? They say they’ll no longer be allowing some methods of promoting.
Overall though, they’re still one of the better networks around…
Although several networks are pushing government grants and acai berry offers, I can’t promote or make money off anything that hurts people, especially in this economy.
I haven’t gotten around to running any PPC campaigns with C2M yet mainly because I’ve been busy and I have two NBA and PJN campaigns running on auto-pilot, making me money around the clock. The hassle isn’t setting up the PPC, it’s finding an offer I feel is worthy of promoting.
I do my diligence and check the BBB rating and rip off report of companies before I start promoting their offers. LOL, if a company is ripping off customers, why on earth would they be straight with affiliates or the affiliate network? Makes sense.
C2M has so many great offers. I just haven’t hd the time to look for something to start promoting and I’ve been dragging my feet in writing a review of C2M..
Rick, wish to see u run some significant campaigns someday. : )
Thanks!I Shall check out their site.Referrals cutting to 2%? I shall read more on this.
thanks for sharing this with us will go and have a look at covert2media.
The referral cut seems abit bad but with a good few campaigns im sure you wont notice the difference.
