Congratulations on the PR4 Sham. I have one of my sites go up to PR4 from PR3. I was hoping for a PR5 but it seems DMOZ backlinks have been devalued because I used to have a PR7 backlink from them and now it's valued as a PR5. Two of my other sites lost PR, one went from PR4 to PR2 and the other from PR4 to PR3. :-(

This update has been strange. My friend made a 1 page site on a domain he bought to use later and that site went to PR3 and it doesn't even have 500 words of content on it and only 6 backlinks from his other sites, but the bodybuilding site he's been busy working on daily with over 300 backlinks received no PR.

Oh well, I've been around internet publishing long enough to know PR isn't the most important thing to worry about, but always glad to hear somebody hit a nice PR4 !!!!

[...] Google update has been reported to have finished the major update for reporting the pagerank at the beginning of the month of May. A lot of sites that should have gone up or stayed at least the same didn’t, but a lot of sites that were zero or 1 jumped up to a 2 or 3. Dollars Blog stayed the same at 3 although are site is less then 6 months old so I speculate for a while now that my site is too new for it to even get to the much more respected 4. It seems like there were probably some major changes done to their algorithm to calculate pagerank. You can find more information about the recent update at Affiliate Best Programs [...]
