PepperJam Network (PJN) is one on the most highly anticipated CPA affiliate networks, generating a significant buzz amongst the industry elite due to the fact that it was created by affiliate marketers for affiliate marketers. I eagerly signed up last week and have been exploring the PepperJam Network publisher interface and reporting tools thoroughly before writing this initial review. Any regular readers of this blog should be familiar with the fact that I only prefer to “work with” and promote only the most professional, transparent, established affiliate programs. PepperJam meets up to all three criteria in that it has a transparent business model, is extremely professional and was established by a very reputable organization.
If you haven’t heard about PepperJam or you’re one of the few publishers who hasn’t already joined PepperJam Network CPA affiliate program, here’s the basic information their website :

Pepperjam Network (PJN) is a next generation affiliate marketing network, which addresses two primary issues that have been lacking in the affiliate marketing industry for years: (1) poor and unreliable communication tools and (2) lack of transparency. With PJN, affiliates and merchants can communicate in real-time via Pepperjam Chat™, thereby providing a reliable communication system to build better, more profitable partnerships. PJN also provides affiliates and merchants with a measure of transparency, which helps to establish trust and lays the groundwork for open, long-term, profitable relationships.
PJN is designed to make the experience of affiliate marketing profitable and educational for both merchants and affiliates. Unlike most other traditional networks PJN uses Web 2.0 technology to provide affiliates and merchants with an easy-to-use, clean interface. In addition, PJN offers industry leading SID-level tracking and reporting - this robust technology is especially beneficial to search marketing and sophisticated super affiliates that want to take advantage of the most up-to-date technology available to track at the keyword level. ATTN BLOGGERS: The Pepperjam Network Referral Program is a great opportunity for you to make money by referring your readers to join Pepperjam Network. Write a review of the entire Network or simply talk about pepperjamADS, Pepperjam Chat, or one of the other cool features of Pepperjam. Our top affiliates are blogging about Pepperjam Network and making money on every referral they send! |
For those of you familiar with the Commission Junction publisher interface, PepperJam’s layout is similar in it’s cosmetic appearance but as soon a you start navigating around your account, it becomes apparent that PepperJam is not your “average” affiliate program and there’s some serious horsepower lurking under the hood of this muscle car of affiliate programs. Comparing PepperJam’s publisher tools and reporting features to a second rate network such as ClickBank, PayDotCom, ShoppingAds, AuctionAds, etc is like comparing a 1971 Ford Pinto to a 1969 Hemi Charger. While both may get you from point “a” to point “b”, it’s what’s “under the hood” that that counts and from my inspection, PepperJam is a 426 Hemi Big Block compared to a bicycle with a lawnmower engine duct taped to the back wheel (see illustration)
I’m not going to go into extensive detail about PepperJam’s publisher interface and setting up ads in this review although in the process of preparing this review, there was so much to say about PepperJam that I decided to break this article into several seperate posts that I’ll be publishing later this week. I’ll also be publishing an article entitled PepperJam Secrets, Tips and Tricks for my RSS feed readers only, so be be left out. Be sure not only to join PepperJam but subscribe to my RSS feed as well.
Happy Publishing,
Dave

You’re right Dave, PepperJam is an awesome affiliate program. I like it better than Commission Junction because you can make your own Adsense looking ads from your list of programs you’re promoting.
You just gotta love the classic car analogy tied to affiliate marketing - thumbs up !!
Thanks for the article. I saw Dannielle’s comment last night about being able to make Adsense style looking ads from Pepperjam so I gave it a shot and signed up.
I was just banned from Adsense and have been looking for a honest and reliable replacement but my question is, “How do you make the Adsense style looking as?”
Hi,
i must admit that i’ver never seen it this way.
But to succeed with making money online, i ‘d strongly advice that you get yourself a treasure map - a roadmap to Affiliate success …*-)

How about using both Adsense and PJN on the same page? Is this allowed ?

Signed up and am browsing around the network already..will see how well it works for me.
There are already so many affiliate networks out there - I wonder how great they will do. It’s just another component of their marketing mix, so it cant hurt. Does this operate off of direct track?
I would like to see PepperJam ads on Squidoo if they (PJN) could work out a deal with Squidoo, that would be great.
Nice programming work on PJN.
The interface is very well thought out and well laid out.
I like it that a lot of the merchants are auto-approve and it lists them as auto or manual. I hate waiting for approval like CJ merchants make you do because when I get a creative idea how to promote something it slows down the creative process if I have to wait a few days for approval.
@Mortgage Design - A deal between PepperJam and Squidoo would be a lethal combination. I believe that social networking sites like Squidoo that are “Revenue Sharing” are already making waves. Although I can’t comment on their business model, the upstart social network Yuwie is rapidly gaining a huge member base mainly due to the revenue sharing aspect. I personally have several forums/social sites I’d love to do revenue sharing on like DigitalPoint forums does in Adsense revenue sharing but I don’t want to manage paying people, etc… DigitalPoint’s model is great with Adsense, but I’d rather do it through a CPA network.
If PepperJam could find a way to tap into that…
@CodeRetard - I’ve been known to kick out some pretty tight GUI’s in my day but the PepperJam GUI is slick, The only thing I’m a bit disappointed by is the tracking for pepperjamAds. It’s kind of hard to track impressions on a text ad, but there’s always the 1×1pixel transparent gif that can be used to track impressions.
Hello,
Where can you find pepperjam referral links and buttons to place on your site in the interface. plz email ryanpezzotti@gmail.com
thanks.
Ryan,
You’ll find the PepperJam affiliate links in your “Find Partners” section. You join their program just like any other in the network.
Hope this helps.

I got accepted to Pepperjam network, but I couldn’t find their referral link. I found it. Thanks Dave.
PJN is the most professional network I’ve ever dealt with. You’ll never regret dealing with PJN. It’s the only CPA network I’ve ever dealt with that the founder answers affiliate’s questions on public forums like DP.
I love PJN. Everything from the interface to the advertisers is the highest quality, Of course it comes as no suprise because the founder Kris Jones is one of the most inspiring affiliate marketers in the business.
Keep on rocking !!
PepperJam Network is a great idea, im already using their service even though im using a lot of affiliate programs they stand out.
Very useful information on this affiliate program. I have heard much good things about it.
Gaining in popularity. Is the affiliate program a percentage of sales?
How do you make money with Pepperjam? I have been with the program since early June and I don’t have seen a single sale or commission yet.
@Graham - PJN has both percentage of sale commissions as well as lead commissions. I tend to do a lot better with lead based programs and my two favorite networks are definitely Pepperjam and Hydra.
@Firegirl - CPA networks are sometimes hard to earn commissions with and you have to have a targeted niche you can work if you want to get people to click through and make purchases or generate leads.
