There’s been a lot of rumours floating around that the attention starved, geek affiliate blogger turned wannabe media personality Jeremy “ShoeMoney” Schoemaker has been regressing into deep depression because he’s running out of money and that he’s on his way to filing bankruptcy. His most recent temper tantrum at DP forum certainly paints a disturbing, unprofessional portrait and it would come as no suprise if Shoemoney’s days as an internet meme are numbered.
All that conjecture aside, it seems the thread I started last night over at DigitalPoint has sent the chrome domed, pale as a ghost Powder look-a-like into a dazzling temper tantrum exhibiting the megalomaniac blogger’s unbridled lack of self-control. Maybe he needs to get some sunlight, maybe he needs to get laid, maybe he just needs some attention he craves so much but any way you slice it, Shoemoney is a total loser.
Sure, we’re all used to Schoemaker’s rabid rants, his linkbait false accusations (DMOZ Extortion) and his constant attacks on Shawn Collins but this time he has really popped a gasket. His actions at DigitalPoint should not go unnoticed and it is a rightful indicator that Shoemoney has a truly vile and contemptible nature which only serves to tarnish DigitalPoint forums. This time he has gone too far. Here’s a couple of screenshots to show just how arrogant and ignorant this hubristic geek gone wild truly is.

Yeah, can you believe it, Shoemoney banned me from DigitalPoint forums !!! A place where I’ve made hundreds of friends, racked up a ton of good reputation and am known for helping people out and telling the truth. In all honesty, I’m not a bit worried because I’m certain my DP account will be re-instated once one of the more professional moderators such as Buffalo, Roman or Crazy_Rob read this and find out that Shoemoney is using DP as his personal battle field and banning members for simply stating their opinion of his blog. I’m sorry, but last time I checked, DigitalPoint was a public forum and all topics were open for discussion - including Mr. Schoemaker’s blog which is also publicly accessible. If Jeremy “ShoeMoney” Schoemaker can’t handle the heat he needs to get his butt out of the kitchen.
Shoemoney’s childish profanity and hostile manner of banning members who have been in good standing at DP over the long haul is a true disservice to any webmaster forum on the internet and it is my opinion that Schoemaker should be removed as a moderator at DigitalPoint because he certainly brings nothing worthwhile to the table. Shoemoney must be held accountable for his hostile actions, vile language and personal attacks on other members of DigitalPoint because they have no place at any public forum, especially from a moderator.
Jeremy Schoemaker, if you’re reading this, you have proven you are unprofessional, immature and a totally arrogant hostile little person who lacks self control. Simply banning my account at DP because I questioned your integrity will not stop me from exposing you as the charlatan that you are. If you were a real man, you would have dealt with it as a man, however, you are not a real man, hell, you’re not even a boy, you’re just a freak who sees his 15 minutes of fame ticking down right before his eyes and there’s nothing you can do to stop the slide down the slippery slope you clawed your way up.
If you are reading this article and you were involved with the discussion on DP, please don’t let Shoemoney get away with this gross abuse of power. Speak up or forever hold your piece and be a whipping post for corrupt mods like Jeremy “ShoeMoney” Schoemaker who thinks DP is his own personal forum.

I’ve had my run in with ShoeMoney displaying a private email from me to his AuctionAds Support department on DP along with my name. I was then subjected to his attack on DP as well. A few days later was greeted with multiple infractions on my account…with no baring.
What sucks is that he has so many wannabe affiliates sucking at his teats that they take everything he says as scripture. I’m glad to see he is starting to fall and get knocked down a peg or two, that needs to happen when you forget where you came from.
This is not fair what he did to you Dave. Not fair at all.
I hope DP mods will look into this and make good with this.
I read Digital Point all the time and was absolutely shocked when I saw Bryce was banned, and then read the thread and was even more disturbed to see that this Shoemoney character could do such a biased action in what I thought was a fair and impartial forum.
The owner of Digital Point would be wise to get rid of this poison of a moderator Shoemoney in a hurry.
This is just terrible and it has changed the way I feel about Digital Point after years of thinking the world of that website.

Cari, Chris, Diana - I sincerely appreciate that there are honest, good natured people who believe the truth and feel that it is our duty in society to uphold the values that we believe in. Let’s face it, Jeremy Schoemaker has no ethics or morales, his only desire is the accumulation of wealth at whatever cost.
I believe my thread was merely an “open discussion” that numerous other members participated in and echoed my opinions of Jeremy Schoemaker yet I guess some people want to be celebrities but don’t want to take the negative side that goes with it.
In the meantime, I will not violate DP’s rules and create another account there to send a PM to Roman, Jenn or Buffalo about what happened. I’m also not angry at DP because just like any other community, there are good people and bad people. Sometimes the bad people get away with their actions for a long time but eventually it catches up with them in the end.
I think Shoemoney is standing on one wooden leg. His only appearances at DP lately have been to lock threads about him. Like I said in the article, he adds nothing to the forum. He is only out for himeself and he uses people like they were toilet paper.
He’ll get his in the end and as the old saying goes, “The bigger they come, the harder they fall”.

Jeremy Schoemaker worked with me several years back and I must say your asessment of him as a megalomaniac is accurate. He never finished his work and was always making excuses. When confronted with his shortcomings, he was hostile towards fellow co-workers. He brought an air of fear and resentment into the workplace. Everyone in the building avoided him if possible because of his argumentative nature.
His contract was terminated when he was caught working on his own personal websites at the company’s expense. This happened not once but several times. He was also suspected of illegal substance abuse when several co-workers reported that he was using cocaine in the employee restroom. We knew he was on a variety of medication for his mental and physical ailments but it was apparent he was abusing illegal drugs as well.
His mood swings and attitude problems made him a terror in the workplace and I thank God I never have to see him again in person. As the other person said, I truly feel sorry for his children because Jeremy Schoemaker has an extremely dysfunctional personality and he is a textbook schizophrenic.
I appreciate if my identity is kept anonymous because I fear reprisal from Jeremy Schoemaker if he finds out I’ve posed this about him.
Dave/Bryce - You are one of my favorite members at DP. I hope they will resolve this issue quickly and unlock the thread you started because it was one very good discussionwe were having. Shoemoney had no right locking it just because it was discussing him. I believe you have grounds for a negligence lawsuit against Mr.Schoemaker. If you can provide evidence that your membership at DigitalPoint forums constitutes a portion of your online business and damages were caused by Mr. Schoemaker’s breach of duty, compensatory damages can be sought on your behalf.
A person in Mr. Schoemaker’s position should be more careful to tantrums and potentially libelous rants such as he is known to. I have been following Mr. Schoemaker’s online antics for several months and he is a loose cannon inviting legal action.
It’s time somebody stood up to his bullying.

Do you really think anyone other than your little friends from school or the gamerz chat room you frequent are going to bother to read your posts in forked tounge broken english? Are you aware that there are things called a dictionary and a thesaurus and amazingly they actually have online versions which you can use to enhance your writing? Additionally, I humbly suggest you consider using a spell checker, which is a friendly little piece of software that checks your post for spelling errors. However, your grammar and punctuation will need quite a bit of work that you can’t use an online tool to correct.

I can understand why Dave would be upset, I just feel there are more sensible ways to get your point across, and bringing a discussion down to this level will not help anyone.
Additionally if the very basis for Dave’s argument is that he was personaly insulted, wouldn’t you agree that doing the same thing will just aggravate the situation?
We can all have our professional divergences, and think differently about the way we conduct business, but resorting to personal attacks from either side is not the way to go.
Jeremy should not have responded the way he did on a public forum that he moderates, no question about it, but you must agree that the thread Dave created was quite provocative and inflammatory, not because of the content itself, but mostly due to its form. Let me reinstate however that proper forum moderation requires an impartial, rational, and “moderated” conduct that was not followed by Jeremy, and that inevitably led to Dave’s account “suspension”. Nevertheless, I find that this is not a proper justification for insulting someone at a personal level to this extent.

@Pedro - Thanks for the intelligent comments. I would appreciate it if everybody observes the same modicum of demeanor in this discussion from this point on. Pedro, my initial topic wasn’t meant to be inflammatory, it was merely an observation. The thread took on a life of it’s own and although it was heated at times, nobody, I repeat, nobody resorted to using profanity or personal attacks as Jeremy did. Also, the term “whore” and “referral whore” are widely used in the affiliate marketing community. In fact, Jeremy uses it quite frequently in his attacks against other marketers. If Jeremy is offended by it I suggest he stop using it himself and/or being so thin skinned.
Considering the way Shoemoney dishes the insults out to Shawn Collins, who I believe is a decent person, he should expect and be able to take the same treatment as he dishes out. I am not personally offended if somebody calls me a referral whore, a douchebag or says one of my blogs suck and I certainly would never ban somebody from any of my forums with the message “Fu*k Off”.

Dave, I think it was a very good and wise gesture of your part to put some “order” into this “debate”. In all honesty I can see where you are coming from, but I see it more as a communication problem then a personal issue between the two of you.
As a moderator you cannot use the “power” you are entrusted to carry on your personal agenda, but the response, as I expressed before, I feel was also not adequate as well.
I believe (know) that Jeremy is not as bad as he is made out to be by some of the comments I’ve read here, but quite frankly you were also mistreated, and whatever dispute Jeremy had with you should have been kept strictly between the parties involved.
Most importantly Jeremy should not have abused his position at the digital point forums but also comments that degraded Jeremy on this blog should also “limited” or better yet, deleted, not because they were negative, but because they were completely off topic, insulting his physical appearance and things of the same nature that are completely irrelevant and truly vile.
While I can’t say I agree with some of the people taking the opportunity to make personal jabs against Shoemoney, he is the one who started this whole fiasco and Dave owes him no respect until Shoemoney lifts the ban on his account at DP and publicly apologizes to him for calling him a “f*cking idiot”.

As far as the rest of the mods at DP, mostof them are very good people. I especially like Roman, JMattern and Buffalo. The three of them are a geunine asset to DP unlike Shoemoney and Aaron.

As far as what my material posessions are concerned, you can send an email to IBM and ask them why they paid me $100K per year as a C++ programmer. you might try getting a masters degree and working for 15 years and maybe you might own a house or two in the process. Otherwise, you can stay with DP and keep selling your signature for $5 per month and maybe in a century or two you can afford a down payment on a home.

I can honestly say that getting banned from DP actually had a positive effect on my internet work. I’m not wasting time getting in useless conversations to earn rep points in that community, so I’ve been more focused on my work and been cranking the sites out like crazy.
I used to get a bit of traffic from DP but I found several smaller forums (in addition tomy forum) where I’ve made much nicer friends. Also, I joined the Entrecard community and started interacting there. A lot of the best people from DP are over there. All in all, my traffic is way up, earnings are through the roof and productivity increased.
Getting banned from DP ended up being a blessing in disguise.

OK, this was one of the best reads I’ve had in WEEKS. I’ve never really bothered to find out much about these “Shoemoney” and “Chow” people (I’m not exactly concerned about money at this point). But this piqued my interest, I couldn’t stop reading - all the way through the comments too. And by the way, I’m completely on your side. Talk about power hungry, what a joke.

Jeremy Schoemaker is a fraud. Do not deal with him on any level or you will be sorry. I had the misfortune of hiring him to do SEO work for me and all he did was spam a bunch of blogs using some automated software. My website got blacklisted from Google but my business has grown because of my dedication to succeed. I have to thank his shoddy work for being an inspiration for my future.

haha, shoemoney is crazy. He used to be a pretty reputable guy but I guess that’s all gone down the drain.
